Some real surprises this week! And the top ten is all green! You might want to head to the show after all!
xXx: THE RETURN OF XANDER CAGE – Yup, it’s dumb as hell, but it’s also a lot of fun! Vin Diesel is gettin’ all eXXXtreme in crazy situations, and he’s brought the rest of the planet with him. If you’ve been hankerin’ for good, dumb action this will fit the bill quite nicely.
SPLIT – M. Night is back, baby! And he’s brought a twist! Seriously, the reviews have been very solid for this one, and James McAvoy is totally unhinged playing all facets of a dude with a split personality. Definitely worth checking out before you’re inevitably spoiled.
THE FOUNDER – Turns out McDonald’s was built on a foundation of lies and deceit! Who knew? The man responsible for turning a successful restaurant into a juggernaut definitely stepped on some toes, and Michael Keaton brings the man to life. Nice to see him headlining more films.
20TH CENTURY WOMEN – Annette Bening is still one of the best actors of all time, and it’s great when she gets the right material to really shine. Here she plays a mom looking for role models for her daughter in 1979 California, a tricky (but entertaining) environment.
